DALLAS - Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU] today announced its award winning authentication platform, Entrust IdentityGuard is interoperable with OracleŽ Identity Management. The interoperability and Entrust's support of the Oracle Identity Management Ecosystem and Reference Architecture allows applications accessed through Oracle Identity Management to leverage a wide range of authentication options delivered by Entrust IdentityGuard.
With the growth of web-based applications, enterprises are increasingly seeking a means to connect various applications and systems while also enhancing the security around those applications. While the range of applications differs, so too do the security requirements aligned to those applications. Enterprises need the flexibility to align the most appropriate authentication solution to each respective application, verses attempting to establish a 'one size fits all' model. The Entrust IdentityGuard platform provides a wide range of strong authentication options from a single platform, enabling the enterprise to drive the most appropriate authentication option.
"The interoperability between Oracle Identity Management and Entrust IdentityGuard provides the foundation and flexibility for enterprises to deliver standards-based comprehensive identity and access management capabilities while addressing an enterprise's current and anticipated strong authentication requirements," said Hasan Rizvi, vice president, Security and Identity Management Products, Oracle. "Entrust's participation and support of Oracle's Identity Management Ecosystem and Reference Architecture delivers to our mutual customers a best-in-class identity and security solution."
Entrust IdentityGuard is a comprehensive multi-factor authentication platform for Internet and enterprise applications. This suite of strong authentication capabilities can help enable organizations to take a risk-based approach to tailoring their security deployments. The various flexible deployment options can help allow organizations to match strong authentication methods to the level of risk associated with different types of users, transactions and applications in an organization's environment. Entrust is also member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
"As the move to consolidate and extend access to legacy and web applications continues, better identifying users via strong authentication becomes critical," said Entrust Senior Vice President Kevin Simzer. "Enterprises are seeking a single solution that offers a range of authentication choices at a cost effective price, making Entrust IdentityGuard unique in the marketplace."
