Entrust Makes Award-Winning Artificial Intelligence Technology Available as a Comprehensive Toolkit
Entrust announces Entrust Entelligence™ Content Analysis Toolkit to help meet customer demand for customizable data and e-mail compliance
22 Nov 2004
DALLAS and OTTAWA – Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU], a world leader in Identity and Access Management solutions, today announced the Entrust Entelligence™ Content Analysis Toolkit designed to automatically sort and categorize large volumes of data for compliance and content management applications through award-winning* and patented artificial intelligence content analysis technology. This product can help assist organizations who need to execute their corporate governance and regulatory requirements and manage the large volumes of e-mail and electronic documents in their archives and document repositories.
The Entrust Entelligence Content Analysis Toolkit helps make it easy for developers to integrate powerful contextual analysis capabilities such as auto-categorization or summarization into a wide variety of applications. Exposing a high-level set of application programming interfaces (APIs), the toolkit can help enable rapid integration within C++ or Java environments – without requiring intensive and time-consuming infrastructure changes. The Entrust Entelligence Content Analysis Toolkit combines four key content management tools for any e-mail or electronic document:
- Auto-Categorization: automatically and rapidly sorts content into pre-defined taxonomies, completing in seconds work that might manually take hours or days. Highly sophisticated machine learning techniques typical of those found within intelligence communities can produce fast and accurate classification results.
- Compliance: mines context from content. Sophisticated filters analyze content and match it to a pre-defined library of concept patterns. Entrust can provide filters as a set of policy modules or concept libraries, or they can be customized with an easy-to-use policy editor. The editor supports the development of relational and hierarchical concept definitions with customized thresholds.
- Summarization: allows the rapid generation of key sentence-level summaries of documents and e-mail. Optimized for unstructured content, it can retrieve meaningful summaries from electronic text. Advanced, lightweight algorithms in information retrieval, natural language processing and machine learning can analyze and interpret text.
- Search: provides natural-language-based search functions. Capabilities include natural/raw full text searches, fuzzy matching, proximity-based searches, anchored and pattern-based searching.
“By making this toolkit available for licensing to system integrators, software vendors or directly to organizations, Entrust is making capabilities available for customized sorting and tagging of data stockpiles that are rapidly accumulating in the enterprise archive and document repositories” said Leah MacMillan, Vice President, Secure Messaging, Entrust. “This toolkit can help organizations more easily address their archive and data repository audit compliance requirements.”
The Entrust Entelligence Content Analysis Toolkit leverages the same technology found at the core of the Entrust Entelligence™ Compliance Server, the Linux-based appliance designed to automatically scan incoming and outgoing e-mail for compliance with government or corporate regulations.
The Entrust Entelligence Content Analysis Toolkit is now commercially available.
