Entrust Congratulates GTEC WEEK 2004 Distinction Award Winning Customers
Canadian event honors excellence in knowledge management and innovative technologies for government operations and public service delivery

DALLAS – Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU], a world-leading provider of Identity and Access Management solutions, offers its congratulations to the Distinction Award Winners of GTEC WEEK 2004, the leading Canadian event that highlights and showcases innovative technologies in government operations and public service delivery. Several award winners showcased Entrust® products and applications at the annual event in Ottawa, Canada, from October 19-21, 2004.
The Distinction Awards 2004 Program and Gala are designed to formally recognize and celebrate leadership, innovation and excellence in enabling and managing e-government within the public sector. A total of 38 awards were given in four groups, encompassing 14 categories and 3 sub-categories. These groups included Federal Awards (Group I), Provincial Awards (Group II), Municipal Awards (Group III) and National E-Government Awards (Group IV).

Three out of the top four eGovernments, as ranked by the latest Accenture global study, are standardized on Entrust® security solutions. These governments include Canada, Singapore and Denmark. Over 90 departments and agencies have deployed Entrust solutions within the Government of Canada, and additionally Entrust has over 50 deployments in Federal agencies and departments within the United States government, which is also ranked one of the world's top four eGovernments.

Developed in partnership with Public Works and Government Services Canada and Treasury Board Secretariat as part of the federal government's service transformation initiative, ROE lays the foundation for future electronic commerce initiatives.

Public Works and Government Services Canada in partnership with Communications Security Establishment, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Canada Revenue Agency and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada/ Social Development Canada
The Secure Channel Project provides a secure electronic infrastructure for the government and other trusted partners, and enhances the privacy, availability, and ease of access for Canadians doing business with government. Several services are now online, including common registration, authentication and payment services, and the number continues to grow. The SCP's success has been a contributing factor in the ranking of Canada as the world leader in e-government.
Nominations in each of the groupings were subject to a rigorous screening and judging process by distinguished representatives from the particular jurisdictions involved. Winners were announced on October 18, 2004 at the Distinction Awards 2004 Gala sponsored by the private sector, and held at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, in Gatineau, Canada.
