Entrust Appoints Dave Carey President and Chief Operating Officer
Former Scott Paper Company Worldwide Consumer Products Division President and Wharton Professor Joins Entrust to Help Drive Company Growth

DALLAS - Entrust, Inc. [NASDAQ: ENTU], a world-leading provider of Identity and Access Management solutions, today announced the immediate appointment of Dave Carey to the role of president and chief operating officer. Dave Carey will report to Bill Conner, who will continue to lead the company in his role as chairman and chief executive officer.

Dave Carey has worked with Entrust in a number of consulting roles over the past three years, primarily helping pioneer and guide the company's customer value add (CVA) program alongside Bill Conner. This program surveys customer perception on the company's performance in all aspects of the business - from marketing to product development to customer support - then initiates appropriate action in each area to improve business results and increase customer value.

As president and COO at Entrust, he will be responsible for Marketing, Products, Professional Services, Business Development, Entrust Cygnacom, Information Technology and Information Services. Mr. Conner will continue to manage the Sales, Finance, Governance and Human Resources organizations.
A former Scott Paper Company executive who grew each of the multi-billion dollar consumer products division businesses to a number one market share position in the industry, Dave Carey brings a broad mix of business acumen to Entrust. His range of expertise includes new business development, product management, marketing research, advertising, mergers and acquisitions, and executive leadership development. After leaving Scott in 1990, Carey joined Shimer Van Cantz advertising agency as President. He later established his own consulting and executive development firm. Carey's client list includes AT&T, Carnival Cruise Lines, The Sands Hotel and Casino, Campbell Soup, Bethlehem Steel, Wal-Mart and the U.S. Postal Service. Carey holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business in Pennsylvania, was a professor at Wharton from 1991 to 1993 and is currently a visiting lecturer at the school for marketing and management courses.
