Krefeld, Germany - Eracom Technologies today announced that its ProtectFile product has received the Entrust Ready™ designation for the latest Entrust Entelligence™ software, the Entrust Entelligence 7.0 release.
The Entrust Ready designation is awarded by Entrust, Inc. [Nasdaq: ENTU], a world-leading provider of Identity and Access Management solutions, and refers to products and services that have been reviewed for compatibility and interoperability with Entrust offerings. This relationship confirms Entrust's commitment to working with solution providers who add complementary, leading edge technology to solve real world business concerns.
ProtectFile is an advanced file encryption tool, enabling a user to protect sensitive data from unauthorized viewing. This protection can be applied selectively to single or multiple directories, locally or on a server, for individual users or user groups. ProtectFile runs transparently in the background, protecting information on notebooks, workstations and networked drives for single users, departments and companies. As ProtectFile allows the complete separation of IT and security administration, it is often used to protect server-based data in outsourced IT infrastructures.
Eracom Technologies has integrated ProtectFile 3.01 with Entrust Entelligence Security Provider 7.0 for secure and advanced key management, including key recovery and access control. This latest Entrust Ready designation replaces the Entrust Ready designation of previous versions of Entrust's and Eracom's software products. This underlines Eracom's continuing commitment to provide high-end file and folder encryption capabilities to Entrust's existing and future customers.
