FIPS 140-1 Level 1: The Entrust TruePass solution has been externally validated through the rigorous FIPS security validation process. The evaluation process is undertaken jointly by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) out of the USA and the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) out of Canada, and is widely recognized in the security world. Once again demonstrating Entrust's leadership position the security world, Entrust TruePass is the world's first Java-based product to receive FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certification, providing independent validation of the Enhanced Security capabilities that Entrust TruePass and the Secure Identity Management Solution deliver. The two official validation certificates can be viewed from the links below.

IETF RFC 3039: Entrust TruePass 8.0 adheres to IETF RFC 3039 by providing the ability to support a separate key pair for digital signatures to comply with the European Union Digital Signature Directive. Entrust TruePass 8.0 delivers support for a 3-key pair model that defines a separate key pair to perform encryption, authentication, and digital signatures.
