Infosecurity Europe: Entrust SVP Rockvam Talks Global Marketplace With Thales E-Security

Entrust

Entrust just wrapped up a huge week at InfoSecurity Europe. David Rockvam, Entrust senior vice president of product management and SaaS offerings, spoke with Entrust trusted partner, Thales e-Security, about Entrust’s position in the global market.

The Datacard Group’s acquisition of Entrust was hot topic at the conference. Datacard Group touches about 90 percent of the world’s credit cards. Together, Entrust and Datacard Group are now able to physically and digitally secure the information on those cards. With the new alignment with Datacard Group, protecting digital identities and securing online transactions in the financial market online is a top priority for Entrust.

Rockvam also explained that Entrust is forever diligent in making border security authentication and access to government services more secure, effective and convenient.

With a finely tuned focus on financial, government and enterprise verticals, Entrust is building solutions that increase secure mobility for users. As a Thales partner, Entrust integrates its public key infrastructure and digital certificate solutions with Thales HSM solution. Entrust is also working to integrate Entrust IdentityGuard to increase authentication security in the mobile space.

“In today’s marketplace, identities are changing at a very rapid pace,” Rockvam said. “We all carry multiple identities around with us — from a mobile phone, to a tablet, to a PC — and making sure all those identities are safe is key.”
