Andrew Pinder

Senior Vice President and Head of Global Government

Andrew Pinder, the former e-Envoy for the government of the United Kingdom, holds the position of senior vice president of global solutions at Entrust, Inc. Pinder accepted the executive position after serving on Entrust's board of directors since 2004.

As the United Kingdom's e-Envoy, Pinder spearheaded the Prime Minister's directive to bring Internet access to all British citizens and businesses by 2005. In addition, Pinder was responsible for forging stronger information networks in the British government and for enabling the U.K. to be a recognized e-Government and a leader in e-Business.

Before his appointment as e-Envoy in 2000, Pinder served as the head of operations and technology for Europe at Citibank. Early in his career, Pinder focused on information technology within the public sector. He held positions as the director of operations and technology at Prudential Corporation, as well as director of information technology at the Office of Inland Revenue.

Pinder is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a non-executive director of United Utilities PLC (a FTSE 100 company operating major utilities in the UK). He is also a consultant on strategic technology, e-commerce and e-government issues to a number of organizations, including overseas governments.
